  • Develop and maintain realistic project plans, timelines, and dependencies
  • Track progress, risks, and bottlenecks, and proactively drive mitigation actions
  • Ensure delivery of agreed milestones for simulations, software, control systems, and hardware

Cross-disciplinary coordination
  • ·       Act as the central point of coordination between simulation, software, control, system engineering and hardware teams
  • ·       Align development cycles between virtual (simulation/software) and physical (hardware/testing) work
  • ·       Facilitate technical discussions to resolve interface, integration, and dependency challenges
  • ·       Support smooth handovers between development, testing, and field deployment

Software & hardware delivery
Ensure software and hardware development progress in sync, enabling effective system integration
Oversee projects involving:
  • Simulation development and validation
  • Control algorithm development and integration
  • Embedded and system-level software
  • Mechanical, electrical, kite, control pod and ground station development
Stakeholder communication
  • Provide clear project status updates to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as project plans, roadmaps, and decision logs
  • Support prioritization and resource planning in collaboration with team lead
 Continuous improvement
·       Improve project management processes, tools, and ways of working
·       Help introduce best practices for managing complex R&D projects in a fast-moving environment
·       Contribute to scaling Kitepower’s development organization as projects grow in size and complexity

Tools & ways of working

You will work with modern project management and engineering tools, potentially including:
  • Agile, hybrid project management methodologies
  • Project tracking and planning tools (Jira or similar)
  • Technical documentation tools (e.g. Confluence, Notion)
  • Close collaboration with teams using C++, Python, embedded systems and simulation tools
Your profile
We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager with strong experience in managing technical projects, ideally in complex engineering environments.

The ideal profile includes:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in project management for technical or engineering projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing both software and hardware development projects
  • Strong understanding of software development, simulation, control systems, or embedded/hardware engineering (hands-on experience is a strong plus)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment with evolving requirements
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
Nice to have:
  • Experience in renewable energy, aerospace, robotics, mechatronics, or complex electromechanical systems
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)
